The athletic-medical department of Asklipios was pleased to host two more accomplished athletes in the sector of athletics, “Kambaxis Pantelis”, an athlete of the Association of Marathon Runners of Crete, who is the holder of the third best record in 100km in Greece, and “Vitsa Dimitra” with many distinctions in long distance races. The director of the Cardiology department “Fanis Zambetakis” declared that it is an honor for us and, in parallel, our obligation and responsibility to provide the most complete ergometric tests to the athletes of our island. Kambaxis Pantelis was delighted by the quality of the tests, and stated that from now on all athletes can benefit from them without being necessary to travel to Athens in order to perform them. Ergometric testing is particularly useful in order to prepare the training program and to improve sports performance. Our experience in the domain of diagnosis consists our motive for constant development in the sector of sports medicine and ergospirometry.
